Starting from Bargone main square, following the trail signs with the direction “Monte Treggin”. Then follow the mule track, going up into the olive trees heading towards the red rocks, ending up in the chestnut wood that climbs the slope.
The landscape is firstly made of pines and Mediterranean vegetation, then, from a gentle hill (650 metres above sea level) to the summit, red jasper rocks. The last part, consisting in the rocks of Monte Treggin (870 meters) has to be descended carefully.
Moving down over smaller rocks, the trail sign is red like the rocks, not that visible. Crossing a green oak wood and some chestnuts, reaching the unpaved road (840 m) leading to Case Gromolo, source of the creek. At the end of the road there is Passo del Bocco di Bargone. Some meters before it, on the right, there is Bargone pond, a pre-historical bogland. Near the Passo there is a grass basin from where the red triangle trail starts. The one-hour trail leads to Costa little village. From there, in 10 minutes, the starting point is reached: the main square in Bargone city center.
