AN ITINERARY THROUGH LOCAL MINING HISTORY AND UNSPOILT NATURE
Wonderful itinerary starting from Libiola (reachable also by bus). The road starts with a view on the buildings related to the coal mine, finished in the 60s. Then cross a creek and climb up a trail immersed in European boxes, fine species, typical of this area. Then you see a little square with other buildings from the mine and you finally enter the woods.
The path retraces the duct, on a suspended way running along the serpentine rocks.
Near the storage tank, on the right, climb up to reach the old trail towards the carriageable road to Case Gromolo, where you can find an accommodation facility.
Buggine locality is there, near Gromolo creek. It is then possible to go back, continuing on the left to Isciolli or on the right to Boccco di Bargone.
